Branch Handling International Mail Customs Clearance and Exchange Procedures to Change (Kawasaki Higashi Post Office Opening) |

In order to process international mail more efficiently, customs clearance and exchange procedures
for international mail will be now carried out by Kawasaki Higashi Post Office
(that is to open on May 4, 2013; address: 88 Higashi-Ogijima, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki, Kanagawa).
As a result, some of the international mail clearance and exchange operations previously handled by the
other offices will be changed to this post office.
Please note that following this change, the address for the delivery of documents requested from the customers
and necessary for customs procedures may change from the address previously used.
As a rule, the customers are not expected to come to the customs clearance and exchange operations branch
(Kawasaki Higashi Post Office) in person for any procedures concerning international mail
(except those rare cases where the customers need to undergo the customs clearance in person or
if they wish to pick up their items themselves).
