Delay of surface mail delivery to Mexico |
December 28, 2016
Acceptance of surface mail (letters and parcels) to Mexico was suspended on December 1, 2016, as was announced previously on October 26. It became clear that the delivery of surface mail items to Mexico accepted by November 30 has been delayed because of a processing backlog due to internal circumstances in Mexico.
Therefore, please contact your nearest post office to request an inquiry pursuant to International Mailing Regulations Article 85 if you sent a surface parcel to Mexico by November 30 and think that it might not have been delivered to the addressee.
Please note that there is no inquiry service for ordinary mail items (except registered and insured items).
We have been requesting Mexico Post to deliver surface mail items as promptly as possible.
Thank you for your kind understanding.
